Thank you for your purchase. We hope you are happy with the items you have received; however, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to us for a full refund (less any original shipping/handling charges), store credit, or an exchange. Please see below for more information on our return policy.

RETURNS

All returns must be postmarked within thirty (30) days of the purchase date. All returned items must be in new and unused condition, in original packaging with original proof of purchase. All returns must be pre-approved. All sales are final after thirty (30) days.

Return Process

To return an item, please email customer service with your proof of purchase at returns@greatamericaninc.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. After receiving an RMA number, place the item securely in its original packaging, then mail your return to the following address:

Please note, you will be responsible for all return shipping charges. We strongly recommend that you use a trackable method to mail your return.

Refunds

After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will process your return or exchange. Please allow at least five (5) to seven (7) business days from the receipt of your item to process your return or exchange to the original purchase method. Refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles to appear on your statement, depending on your bank. We will notify you by email when your return has been processed.

Exceptions

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Clearance and “As Is” Items
- Special Order or Custom Items
- Non-Stocking Items

For defective or damaged products, please contact us at the contact details below to arrange a refund or exchange.

If an error was made by Great American Inc. or our supplier/partner, we will credit the full amount of the order paid by you. We will also provide the prepaid return label at no cost to you.

Please Note
- A 15% restocking fee will be charged for all returns
- Item must be uninstalled or unmodified
- Item must be in salable condition, in original packaging
- Unacceptable returns will be sent back to the customer on request at the customer’s expense
- Returns will either be exchanged or refunded less any shipping/handling charges via the original payment form
- Refunds of cash transactions in excess of $150.00 will be issued by check and mailed within 15 days of processing the return
- Returnable parts, including parts purchased on GreatAmericanInc.com (other than drop shipped parts) may be returned at any Great American Inc. location within the thirty (30) day period following the date of purchase.

Cores

Core charges apply to purchases of remanufactured items

Purchasing a remanufactured item enables you to avoid the “core” cost by providing you the option to return the worn item, which still holds residual value to the original equipment manufacturer. A “core” deposit represents the value assigned to the rebuildable component (your used part). You are obligated to place a deposit on this item, which will be refunded to you upon the return of your existing worn part.

The customer is responsible for covering the freight costs associated with returning the core. Core return credits are contingent upon our assessment and acceptance of the condition of the core item returned to us.

Guidelines

All cores must be usable, “like for like” (e.g. cores of equal value) and returned by the original purchaser within sixty (60) days to be eligible for credit.

All cores must be in a condition which is deemed “normal wear and tear.” Cores with rusted or cracked housings, broken shafts, or broken major components will not be accepted for credit.

All fluids MUST be drained from cores before packaging for return. This is to reduce risk of spills which could become an environmental hazard during shipping. Failure to drain oil from the core will result in a $100 handling charge upon receipt at our warehouse.

All cores should be “reasonably” cleaned of exterior oil, grease, and dirt.

All cores should be wrapped in plastic when repacked for shipment. A garbage bag is perfect for this requirement. Wrapping your core helps to keep residual fluids from leaking from the package during shipment.

All cores must be returned in the original box and packing materials in which the replacement part was received, or otherwise in a quality box or container and placed on a pallet. It is extremely important that the core be returned inside its original box for identification purposes.

Please include the packing list that was emailed to you inside the box before securing it so that your return can be identified properly when received at our warehouse. This assures that we receive proper credit for your return.

PLEASE MARK THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR BOX clearly and in large lettering with the words “CORE RETURN”. This will help make sure that your package remains identified within the warehouse as a core.

Please use a shipping carrier that provides package tracking capability. UPS, FedEx, and USPS all provide this service. Package tracking is extremely helpful to resolve any disputes and gives you a record of the return date.

You are responsible for return freight costs. Please select your service of choice.

In certain circumstances, it may be requested that the core be sent directly back to the manufacturer. Under no circumstances should a core be sent directly to the manufacturer without receiving direction to do so from Great American Inc. No credit will be provided if returned to the manufacturer without receiving direction from Great American Inc.

Please email your package tracking information to us at returns@greatamericaninc.com so that we may assist you with the expediting of your return credit.

Please allow approximately forty-five (45) days for your credit to be processed.

Your credit will be issued against the original form of payment that was provided at the time you placed the order.

Great American Inc. reserves the right to evaluate returned cores and will apply deductions for damaged cores, missing core pieces, failure to completely drain cores of fluids, and/or wrong core returns.

PARTS LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT

Our dedication lies in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing quality OEM and aftermarket heavy-duty parts and service at competitive prices, all while offering the convenience you deserve. Numerous products we offer are backed by a manufacturer’s warranty, with terms differing based on the manufacturer and the specific part. For further details regarding the warranty of a particular part, please reach out to us at returns@greatamericaninc.com or consult with an associate at your local Great American Inc. branch.

Parts (and any associated labor costs covered by warranty) are governed by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty terms effective at the time of purchase and subsequent approval. Typically, pending manufacturer approval of the claim, Great American Inc. will either replace, refund, or arrange for the repair of a new part that malfunctions within the designated warranty timeframe due to material or workmanship defects under normal usage and proper installation.

Importantly:

  • The manufacturer’s assessment and approval regarding the eligibility of a claim frequently necessitate sending the part to the manufacturer for a physical inspection beforehand.
  • The warranty does not cover damage or loss resulting from abuse, misuse, neglect, accidents, improper installation, storage, handling, overloading, or any use that contradicts the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • The warranties on replacement parts extend to cover the remaining unused duration of the original warranty.

To obtain warranty service for defective products, kindly adhere to the guidelines specified in the manufacturer’s warranty enclosed with the product or as outlined in the product description on our website. The availability of products or services on our platforms or in our stores does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of any product, third-party service, or manufacturer.

You must be the original purchaser of the parts. Proof of purchase is mandatory.

Great American Inc. does not assume, nor does it authorize any other individual to assume, any liability associated with the sale of any parts.

MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY (A) WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY; (B) WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; OR (C) WARRANTY AGAINST INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF A THIRD PARTY; WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or exclusion or limitation on incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Exclusive Brand Parts Limited Warranty

Great American Inc. (“Great American Inc.” or “we”) offers a limited warranty on all Great American Inc. exclusive brand parts (each an “Exclusive Brand Part”).

The limited warranty duration begins from the date of your purchase from us and, unless otherwise specified with a longer limited warranty period for a specific Exclusive Brand Part (as explicitly mentioned on www.GreatAmericanInc.com), it lasts as follows:

  • one (1) year for all Exclusive Brand Parts, (the “Warranty Period”).

During the Warranty Period, we guarantee that the Exclusive Brand Part will be devoid of defects in materials and workmanship.

If an Exclusive Brand Part malfunctions within the Warranty Period, you can conveniently bring it to any Great American Inc. branch within that period. Upon verifying the defect, we will, at our discretion, either: a) provide a free replacement of the part, or b) refund the purchase price of the part.

This limited warranty excludes coverage for any damage resulting from: a) transportation; b) storage; c) improper installation or use; d) failure to follow the part instructions or to perform any preventive maintenance; e) modifications; f) unauthorized repair; g) normal wear and tear; or h) external causes such as accidents, misuse, abuse, or other faulty parts, actions or events beyond our reasonable control.

For Exclusive Brand Parts (excluding those explicitly labeled as severe duty parts) with a Warranty Period exceeding one (1) year (as clearly indicated on www.GreatAmericanInc.com), the Warranty Period for all severe duty applications shall be limited to one (1) year. Severe duty applications encompass but are not restricted to, refuse, mining, oil field, construction/dump truck, heavy haul, logging, and cement/concrete delivery applications/occupations.

WE RESTRICT THE DURATION AND REMEDIES OF ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SUCH AS THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.

THE REMEDIES OUTLINED HEREIN ARE YOUR ONLY AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES, AND THEY CONSTITUTE OUR ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. OUR LIABILITY WILL NEVER EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE DEFECTIVE PART, AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT.

IN CERTAIN STATES, LIMITATIONS ON THE DURATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES MAY NOT BE PERMITTED, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MIGHT NOT BE APPLICABLE TO YOU. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY PROVIDES YOU WITH SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

The limited warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the Exclusive Brand Part (“you”). It does not extend to any subsequent owner or other transferee of the part.
